University of Alberta paleontologists use a helicopter to lift a dinosaur skull out of the ground in the fall of 2015.

The University of Alberta boasts some of the world’s best dinosaur researchers and also holds one of the most extensive fossil collections available for research. This, coupled with our proximity to some of the richest dinosaur bone beds on the planet and our modern laboratories, means we continue to attract top students and researchers to our dinosaur programs. I live very close to here, and I find this very interesting.  I also find it interesting about how many things researchers can discover about many things in our past history from looking at things that appear to me to be little chunks of rock!
