Phil Melton pilot of the KMAX Helicopter brought one into Mt Pleasant to the Mid America Flight Museum. Phil had to get on his way so I wasn’t able to shoot much video of it, but there is the engine start and takeoff. I hope you enjoy.

Flew the HH-43 by Kaman a LONG time ago (63-67). The KMax has been used in logging and the Marines tested it in Afgan. as a pilotless platform for delivery of sling loads.
The HH-43B/F was used in VN for rescue starting in 1964.
